I met Graeme in August 2013, and he proposed in lockdown on our 7th anniversary on 3rd August 2020.

I had a concept of what I didn't want when it comes to my wedding gown but was available to suggestions of the items to try on. Since we decided we didn't wish to wait too much time, I booked a scheduled appointment at a local bridal store that I'd heard lots of great reviews about. I only tried on maybe 6 dresses and knew the main one I picked was the main one!

The dress I chose was the FeelTimes gown. I purchased it at feeltimes.com. The gown is a classic A-line lace wedding dress having a sparkle tulle underneath. It has a classic V-neckline with a sheer back and beaded straps. When I went searching for my dream dress we'd already chosen the venue and also the gown suited it perfectly. I wanted an Art Deco to feel towards the wedding day which means this dress was ideal for that too. I tried another gown which I did like as I remember saying it felt like something I'd wear on the night out, but FeelTimes advised me that your wedding gown should be something different, something spectacular that you'll only wear once in your lifetime! The gown suited my shape and feeltimes supported me during my decision. Being a lower-key wedding, I also didn't desire a gown that was too overpowering for that venue or even the day.

I accessorized the gown having a feather stolen for pictures following the ceremony. It was a sunny but cold December day there was snow on the floor, which means this finished the appearance perfectly. I had a lot of compliments about how exactly amazing it looked. I had low-key jewelry with Art Deco style pearl earrings along with a 1930s inspired vintage crystal hair vine headpiece for my bridal updo.

As for that planning, we did intend to have 20 guests following Covid guidance in those days. We were to possess a ceremony within the venue after which a meal for 20. However, the guidance changed on Saturday 19th December, and we were then not able to have not the ceremony. Despite all of the restrictions, we still were built with a really big day. For us, it had been about the marriage and making those commitments one to the other with our family. Even though we couldn't possess a traditional wedding, it had been still special in its way.

The best little bit of the wedding was having friends and family present. The funniest bit was being inspired to take the groom's left hand and taking his right – especially as being a teacher, it was quite a funny moment! It snowed for 10 minutes following the ceremony was nice for that photos. Due to the fact we were without the meal due to the Covid changes, our photographer asked us if we'd any special places we wish pictures taken. The Kelpies is near to our home along with a place we quite often visit therefore we drove there coupled with the most amazing pictures!
